I've been looking at and using the Python example https://globalcache.zendesk.com/entries/24006246-iTach-python-example which is great, thank you.
However I have need to do this is Ruby script which I'm not that familiar with. I vaguely remember seeing an example around the forums, but I'm unable to relocate. Would anybody have a working example or know where this one is?

For those of you who might be interested, I've managed to put together a code snippet that works in Ruby.
It is very much based on the Python example
HOSTNAME = '10.0.0.9'
PORT = 4998
def SendToItach(str)
puts "received string #{str}\n"
s = TCPSocket.open(HOSTNAME, PORT)
s.send str, 0
r = s.recv(24) #This is the echo back from iTach
puts "-----response from send: #{r}\n"
s.close
sleep (0.33333)

Can we use this script to run on android Tasker app that can schedule it to run at specific time? Basically, I am looking to perform some automated task like turning on my garage lights at specific time through the Tasker app or any other ways is possible.
