I have a contact closure connected to my heating system. I set the state to 1 on relay 1 and verify that it has closed the contacts. I come back approximately a day later and the relay state has returned to zero. What causes it to reset like that.

Josh Sherman The only reason something like that would occur would be due to some sort of power loss to the unit, as the relays will revert to their open state upon losing power. We recommend some sort of conditioned power source or an unlimited power supply to resolve this. If you continue to have issues after that point, let us know and we can use some methods to monitor the unit over long periods of time.

Ron Natalie In fact, the thing is plugged into a UPS. I've swapped UPS units just in case that one is having problems, but I'm doubting it's a power problem.

Ron Natalie Yep, it doesn't fare any better on the new UPS. THere is definitely something pathetically wrong with this unit.
