Is there a reason that the GC-CGX IR Converter Cable cannot be used with iTach IP2IR and Xantech? The product description and instruction manual for GC-CGX specifically indicate GC100.
Thanks

There is actually no reason why a GC-CGX cable cannot be used with an iTach IR output. The GC-CGX cable has been tested, and will accurately convert signals up to 200 KHz. These are used to convert to a Xantech type environment, and will allow for direct connection to any hardware using a Xantech type signal (i.e. Denon). Thank you for pointing out that this has not been documented correctly. This will be changed to accurately explain functionality.
Hi,
I can see from an online document about the GC-CGX that it is also compatible with Niles products; therefore, is the GC-CGX the correct way that I should control a Niles ZR-4 (using its 3.5mm global IR input) via one of the 3.5mm IR outputs on an iTach IP2IR?
Thank you.
I'm about to try the same thing - iTach Flex to PA1235. Hopefully it works - if it does, I'll report back with my findings.
I had my client install today and...no go. GC-CGX shows no output when connected to the Flex output, even with the Flex set to IR Blaster (I tested with both standard and blaster).
I know the Flex is sending output as, if I connect a standard IR emitter to it, it blinks when the command is sent. I also tested with a digital multimeter - sending a command registers a periodic 270mV output but, if I connect the GC-CGX, I get nothing.
I already sent a support request - hopefully this can get resolved somehow or I'm overlooking something...
