Hi there.
I have a GC-100 and connected it incorrectly to an IR extender, which may have caused a 12V short across the GC port. Now the port is inactive. Is there an explanation for this? Is it likely that a factory reset will get the port working, or is it more likely that it's physically damaged?

There is a possibility that the connector will become active when a factory reset is performed, but it sounds as though you may have damaged it. If your unit is damaged, we have a repair program for damaged units. We can set you up with RMA information, and will repair your unit for you for our service charge of $35. Once repaired, we will ship the unit back to you, on us, via UPS ground.
