I have a GC-100-12 that I am using for RS-232 control to a projector and shades. and the relay to control the projection screen to go up and down. I am running a QSC Core 110f with 8.1.1 firmware installed. In the past month or so I have had complaints from the end user that the screen control stopped working. The shades were fine and the projector was fine, but the screen would not go up or down. When I look in Q-SYS designer, I do see errors there but there doesn't appear to be anything specific. Power cycling the CG-100 does not correct it, only reloading the program on the Q-SYS appears to correct it. After a few days the same thing occurs. Relay controls are what appear to be not working, but the RS-232 continues to work fine. As long as there are no errors in the plugin in the design, it is working. I am able to send a comment to retract the screen from another computer, when it is not working on the Q-SYS. Needless to day, this is an expensive room and for this to not work is an issue. I have spoken to QSC already and at least one engineer there told me that essentially the port goes stale and it only affects the relay control. Has anyone come up against this before and do you have a solution? Am I going to have to wait for a firmware update? Right now even though I know I can program a reboot of the core, the powers that be decided to put a lamp timer on it to reboot daily at 5 AM. I really don't want that to be the fix.

Garrett Gustafson Hello Chris,
Thanks for the report. We are in contact with QSYS's plugin development team and are looking into this. We'll provide an update when we have more information.
