IP2IR Telnet, how to disconnect?

I am successfully using plink.exe to send IR commands from Windows to the IP2IR box.  The problem is there doesn't seem to be any "disconnect" command, commonly you can disconnect from other telnet things like routers and firewalls by issuing the command "quit" or sometimes "logout" but IP2IR doesn't recognize these.

Today, I have to wait 2 seconds after the last command then pskill plink.exe, cause otherwise the connection is forever left open.  There has to be a better way...

How to have IP2IR end the connection?

 

For other's trying to do the same thing, here is my batch...

C:\plink\plink.exe -telnet -P 4998 -batch 192.168.x.x < C:\ip2ir\%1.txt

Where 192.168.x.x is the IP of your IP2IR box
Where %1 is the name of the IR code file you want to send
Where C:\ip2ir\ is a folder full of text files, each containing a "sendir," string on one line, or one string on each line to send a series of commands

Then, currently, you must run "pskill plink.exe" to end the connection :-(

  Here's the exact command I'm using...

  C:\HOME\ps\packetsender.com -q -w 100 -f C:\HOME\ip2ir\samsung12pwroff.txt 192.168.4.4 4998

  ...Note that you need to change the paths above to match your file, and the IP address to be the static IP of your global cache unit

  Here's what's in the samsung12pwroff.txt file...

  sendir,1:2,1,38000,1,1,173,173,21,65,21,65,21,65,21,21,21,21,21,21,21,21,21,21,21,65,21,65,21,65,21,21,21,21,21,21,21,21,21,21,21,21,21,21,21,21,21,65,21,65,21,21,21,21,21,65,21,65,21,65,21,65,21,21,21,21,21,65,21,65,21,21,21,1832

  ...note the contents of the samsung12pwroff.txt is all on one line, with the second line being blank, I seem to remember that the existence of a carriage return at the end of the line is important.

  Figured it out, answer is don't use telnet or plink, use packetsender command-line utility as follows...

  C:\pathto\packetsender.com -q -w 100 -f C:\ip2ir\%1.txt 192.168.x.x 4998

  Delay of 100ms seems necessary or the IP2IR box never gets the command.

  Thanks for the info, not sure if you are still around but I am trying to replicate your work but having no luck. I was able to get ilearn or itest to send the code successfully. I then copied that to a notepad and saved as a txt. I even opened with Notepad++ to make sure it is one line. I then used the script and it seems to run and return some values but it is not turning on the unit like it does with itest or ilearn. 
  
  If you have any guidance, I really appreciate it.
