We've been using iTachs for many years in alot of our projects and have been very happy with the units until we started using UInifi wireless AP's for all jobs. It seems though that the iTach Flex's (and the older iTachs) don't play well with the unifis - either dropping from the network or not connecting at all. I've confirmed the unifi's are all set to use 802.11b as stated elsewhere on the forums, but this has had no effect.
Any thoughts / ideas? Anyone else encountered this?
Edit: Moved to iTach User forum. Flex WiFi units support 802.11g and do not require the legacy device support setting to connect.

There is a setting in the UniFi access points that must be set for the iTach devices to connect. This is the "Legacy Support" check box. Attached to this forum post is a screenshot that shows where this setting can be found in the UniFi configuration settings.
While the access points do imply 802.11n/b/g support elsewhere in the configuration settings, it appears that checking this box is necessary for 802.11b support to actually be enabled.
Ubiquity has recently updated their GUI interface for the Unifi AP.
New screenshots are attached showing how to enable Legacy support for 802.11b.
First, find the Wireless Network under Settings--> Wireless Networks. Select the Wireless Network and click on "Options".
There should now be a selection box for "Legacy Support - Enable legacy device support (i.e. 802.11b)".
After enabling the option, save settings and restart the AP.
1) From the home page of the Unifi management screen, select the "Settings" Icon on the bottom left.
2) Once in Settings, select Wireless Networks
3) Click on the "pencil" icon on the far upper right of the screen to edit the "WLAN Group" settings. NOT the "EDIT" on the same line as the AP Wireless Network name.
4) Select the checkbox for "Enable legacy device support (i.e. 11b)".
5) Edit: Set the Name fields to match the WLAN group name that contains the wireless network the iTach will be connected to.
6) Click on "SAVE".
Thanks! Just bought a WF2IR and thought I would have to use an old TP-Link AP to connect it. This solved my problem; now connecting to a dedicated iTtach WLAN group.

Thought I would throw this out there. Not sure which update broke my setup, but my WF2IR dropped off my network again and I was tired of messing around with 802.11b and Legacy Mode. So I bought this IOGear Ethernet-2-Wifi adapter and a Global Cache IP2IR.

Setup was straight forward. IOGear associated with my standard WIFI network. Plugged the new IP2IR into the IOGear ethernet port and it connected with no issues. Assigned the correct IP and all existing programs work flawlessly. Best part is I was able to remove the WLAN with legacy mode from my network and I no longer have to worry about a Ubiquiti upgrade breaking my setup.
