iTach Flex IP and Linksys Workgroup switch

I've been having fun playing with my Flex on my testbench, but when I move it to the AV stand and plug it into my Linksys 5-port 10/100 workgroup switch (Model EZXS55W V2), the Flex refuses to establish a link with the switch.  No amount of switch rebooting, eth cable swapping, or switch port changing will make them work together.

I accept that my ethernet switch is bottom of the barrel cheapo stuff, but is this a known issue?  Can it be fixed with a firmware update?  Rather than hold my breath for a fix, I guess I'll get a different brand of switch.

  Hi John,

  I haven't heard of this issue before.  I'm assuming that other devices work with this switch?  By not establishing a link do you mean that the switch indicator lights don't come on, as well as the flex not connecting?  Also if you purchased a new switch did it fix your problem?

  Hi Garrett,

  Yes, other devices worked with that switch, but the Flex would not make any switch indicator lights come on.  I replaced the Linksys with an old Netgear switch, then a different Trendnet switch, and the Flex works fine with both of them.  So I have moved the Linksys switch elsewhere.
