I just received an iTach Flex Ethernet serial model, but I do not see how to configure the flex port for serial communications in the iHelp application. All I see are options for "SingleIR emitter" and "Flex Link tri-port IR cable". How do I configure for serial communications?

Steve Kim Steve -- apparently a known issue, and should be resolved by an updated firmware version that Global Cache is hoping to release this week. I opened a support ticket and have had a couple of communications with one of GC's techs about this issue. Hopefully the new firmware will be released soon, because without it I'm looking at a paperweight.

Steve Kim Yikes -- that's awful. Sorry to hear. I thought I was in bad shape with my device hijacking my Windows virtual machine network gateway, but at least I have a workaround for that. If things don't get ironed out soon, I'll be requesting a replacement iTach (non-flex) serial unit.

Steve So, GC just sent me the link for the new firmware and I was able to get my Serial up and running (yippie!) It also fixed the issue I was having with my other Flex not fully booting. Unfortunately, I am now having issues with the IR tri port IR cable

Steve Kim Steve -- I was JUST about to report the same thing to you. For what it's worth, it seems like the serial cable is working correctly now. Sorry to hear you're having problems with the IR though.

Stephen Inglis Glad i found this i have the Itach Flex wifi and since the firmware upgrade my ir tri port cable its working on ir3 but not the other two thought i had done something wrong looks like must be the firmware hope they fix soon or at least supply the old firmware

Seth Wildung Just Received 2 Itach Flexs eithernet in the mail today and unfortunately they both are having the issue of tri port cable only working through ir3. Has anyone found a solution for this? I am on firmware version 710-3000-04
