WF2IR less powered IR Blaster than the Flex?

I switched from a Flex to a WF2IR because the Flex was losing wifi signal after a power failure, I had to power cycle the Flex in order to regain wifi connectivity every time. Now that I have a WF2IR I found that it’s IR blaster does not work as good as the Flex, the blaster is on the same spot as before, but it only controls my ATV1 and not the TV, I would have to put the blaster closer to the TV in order for the WF2IR to work. And yes, I did select IR Blaster on port 3 in the web configuration. So my assumptions are true, the Flex has more IR Blaster transmit power than the WF2IR? Is there any way to increase the WF2IR IR transmit power?
