iTach and Direct IR Inputs

Can I use a standard 3.5mm mono cable to attach my iTach products directly to my components that have direct IR input connections or do I have to pass through a  Xantech distribution block in conjuction with the GC-CGX IR Converter Cable?

  I think the answer is that if my component's direct IR input is Xantech compatible (which it is), then I would just use the GC-CGX IR Converter Cable directly from the iTach to the component bypassing the need for the distribution block.
