Not Sending IR Command?

Hey, so I decided to buy a Wifi iTach device after looking into controlling my Samsung TV (discrete on / off is all I need), Apple TV and possibly my Comcast box through IR with the RoomieRemote.app on iOS.

I had a weird issue trying to see the device and set it up, but overcame that.

Next was getting it setup via RoomieRemote and sending the IR signals. This is where I am stuck. No matter what I do, it is as if the iTach wont send an IR signal. On the box itself, I can see the LED light up and respond as if it should be doing something, but NONE of my devices will respond. (so I assume it isnt actually sending the IR command?).

The first time I set it up, I got it to work with my TV and send IR commands. It promptly stopped working after that. I've tried setting it up to control other equipment to check, and again, nothing.

Absolutely stumped here? Can anyone help?

  If the light on the unit is flashing, then the unit is sending a code. The two main reasons why a code wouldn't work are that the code didn't reach the device you are trying to control, or that the code is not correct for the device you are trying to control. IR emitters fire in the area of 1 inch, and should be placed such that the tip of the emitter (opposite where the wire enters the emitter end) should be pointed toward the IR receiver of the device. Regarding the code being correct or not, you will want to see if a different code set is available for the device you are trying to control and see if changing to that code set works.

  Ive tried with multiple devices (TV, Receiver, BluRay player) and with codes I believe work. I've used both the IR blaster and the other type, the ones you stick over the IR input on the device. So, not sure what is going on... doesnt seem to do anything.

  I think there is a learning app or function that can be used with iTach? I need to investigate that, maybe I can learn the actual real dedicated commands.

  As I wrote in other post... I've the same problem (or similar?): i cannot have my blaster to work (is it the bigger blue emitter?). The little emitters work but have to stay really close to the receiver, while I need controlling all my equipment area from 3 meters...

  Same problem here. I bought and installed the Wifi unit working with Homeseer. Added some signals to control my TV, receiver and settopbox.

  All working fine. (Hel of a job to find the codes)

  Next day i wondered wy my script hasn't worked. Now all my commands won't work. Even when i add an new signal.

  Lights on the unit blink, but no reaction of my devices.

  Solved part of my problem. I was testing with the IR blaster unit. When i configured the port to just IR device and hold the blaster in front of th IR eye of the device, it worked. Continued testing with the normal transmitter, it works. Seams my blaster is not working right.
