I have just purchased a iTach Ethernet and trying to connect to my network. The iTach is discovered when connected to the network but is not discovered when connecting through a Linksys Workgroup Switch (10/100 5 port).
Any reason why it is not detected

Turned everything off and then back on and was able to detect the iTach
Our discovery protocol uses multicast UDP packets to announce our unit's locations on a network. If something is blocking this, then it would prevent you from discovering your unit. This could be blocked by the router, network switches or even by firewall software, so you are best off moving the unit to another switch, disabling firewall software temporarily or by setting up in a different network environment to see if the problem is environmental rather than being something physically wrong with your unit.
Thks same problem. GC-100-12 not recognized by switch. I connect it directly ro routeur and it works now : 2 months for me to understand that! Rgds. Reggie
