FAQ: GC-100 Firmware Upgrades


How can I upgrade my GC-100 unit's firmware in the field?


The GC-100 family of products cannot be upgraded in the field. An upgrade to the current version of the firmware requires the unit be sent back to Global Caché. You ship the GC-100 to Global Caché where it is upgraded, tested, repaired (when necessary), and shipped back to you. The upgrade takes one business day unless repairs are needed. Call 541-899-4800 or email support@globalcache.com and request a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number and shipping information.  Units will be returned via UPS ground unless other arrangements are made. If your unit is no longer within warranty, upgrades require a $35 service charge.
