IR emitter compatibility

Hi,

can I use IR dual emitters, like Logitech or Philips Pronto extender ones with GC-100 ? They have mono 3,5mm plugs.

Or do I need to make custom wire / socket using stereo plug?

  Any standard mono-jack emitter is compatible with our units, so you should have no problem using those with a GC-100. We recommend using non-blinking type emitters in this case, as non-blinking emitters use all their supplied power to blink in the infrared spectrum while blinking emitters waste a large amount of current blinking visibly.

  So to confirm, a device like the Xantech 284M, a dual IR emitter, should work?

  Yes, a dual emitter will work with our units but it is recommended that you use non-blinking type emitters so as to maximize the amount of energy used to send the actual IR signal.
