Old GC-100 firmware versions

I am writing an Indigo plugin for GC-100 and iTach, and have run into users with old firmware revisions on their (old) GC-100s. I realize they can send them in to be upgraded, but that's not under my control. Meanwhile...

Which version of the GC-100 firmware introduced the get_IR and get_SERIAL commands?

Where can I get the documentation that went with older firmware so I can figure out how to safely fall back for them?

For iTach, are older versions available and can an iTach be safely downgraded to them for testing?

  The link below will give you all recent changes to the GC-100 firmware. For the iTach, please do not create support for out of date units, as iTach units are capable of being field firmware upgraded by way of our iHelp application, and it is recommended that all iTach units be upgraded to the most current version whenever a new one is available. Feel free to let us know if you have any questions during integration with this software and our products.
