Answer:
- Unplug the GC-100 unit.
- Make a short between pins 2 and 7 of the first serial port on the unit.
- With the short maintained power up the unit.
- The LED above IR port 1 on the unit should light up briefly by itself indicating a factory reset has occurred.
If the unit is on firmware 3.0 or higher the factory default will put the unit on DHCP. Use iHelp to detect the unit on the network.
Factory defaulting will remove a configuration lock if one has been set.
